Amanda
Amanda Sneddon is the founder and principal Occupational Therapist of The OT Space. Amanda is a qualified Occupational Therapist who graduated in 2011 and is an actively practising, AHPRA-registered OT.
With over 10 years of experience in disability assessment, Amanda specialises in developing capacity building strategies and functional upgrade plans tailored to individual needs. She has a strong clinical background in rehabilitation for individuals with complex mental health diagnoses, stroke, brain injury, and dementia.
Amanda is highly skilled in the prescription of assistive technology, supporting clients to achieve greater independence and engagement in daily living activities. Her particular interest lies in power wheelchair prescription and pressure care seating solutions to optimise mobility and comfort.
Internationally, Amanda has worked within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), gaining valuable experience in inpatient orthopaedics and care of the elderly.
Currently, through her private practice, Amanda is passionate about supporting individuals of all ages with mental health conditions and neurodivergent profiles, focusing on enhancing independence, participation, and overall quality of life.
Amelia
Amelia Zappia is a new graduate Occupational Therapist at The OT Space. Amelia completed a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Western Sydney University in 2025 and is an actively practising AHPRA- registered OT.
Amelia is passionate about working with children and adolescents with mental health conditions and neurodivergent profiles, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety and Depression.
She has gained experience in paediatric settings, supporting children with ASD, ODD, Cerebral Palsy, Anxiety and ADHD through the implementation of evidence-based, developmentally appropriate, and strengths-based interventions. Amelia has a growing interest in assistive technology and the use of adaptive equipment to support functional participation, independence, and engagement in daily activities across home, school, and community environments.
As an early-career Occupational Therapist, she is enthusiastic about continuing to develop her clinical skills, learning from experienced practitioners, and delivering compassionate, client-centered care.

About you:
Friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic
Experience working across mental health diagnoses
Experience with paediatric occupational therapy intervention required
Happy to collaborate, share and work with a tight-knit OT team
